The Battle of Secessionville occurred on June 16, 1862, when Union forces attempted to enter Charleston through the area now known as James Island. You can find more info about the site preservation and the battle. You can learn about this year's reenactment by clicking here.

Page 1 -  Reenactors camped at the site on Friday night, and there camp was open on Saturday morning. 

 

 

Page 2 - Several Ladies groups participated. The SCLA served lemonade and refreshments.
